Match Summary A final described as bankrolled Cup holders against pot-less bankrupts was a thriller at times and decided by the woodwork. Chelsea hit the frame of the goal five times in the opening half after the game got started on a stodgy pitch. After the break Boateng had a weak penalty saved by Cech's legs and immediately Drogba struck a fierce free kick past James and in of the post! Pompey tried valiantly to level as sub Belhadj sent in crosses that deserved better and then Lampard missed a penalty and the chance to settle it. John Terry went up to collect the trophy drowned out by the Pompey Chimes. pompey did the City proud and did not even have a place in Europe as consolation because of being in Administration.
