February 14-20: Plot To Hijack FA Cup Tickets Foiled As Pompey's Title Hopes Are Knocked By Sheffield Utd
Monday 14: The draw for the quarter-finals of the FA Cup has just been made, and it's another home tie for Pompey. The Blues have been paired with Derby County. All ties will take place on the afternoon of Saturday 26th February.
Pompey are asking supporters to await an official announcement before making application for stand tickets for the FA Cup quarter-final against Derby County.
Thursday 17: Despite having to close the turnstiles behind a record Fratton Park crowd of 48,581 on Saturday (thousands were locked out) Pompey officials are confident that even more fans can be squeezed in for the FA Cup sixth-round tie against Derby County.
Pompey will be deploying more crowd-packing stewards for the cup-tie against Derby County. "There is ample room for at least 50,000 supporters. We just need people to squeeze up and follow the packers' advice" said Club Secretary Mr Dan Clarke.

Pompey's outside-right Peter Harris will miss tomorrows important Division One fixture against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. He has failed to recover from an injury picked up during last week's FA Cup tie against Newport County.

Gosport Borough Athletic are without a competitive fixture tomorrow, so they have arranged a friendly against Crystal Palace "A" at Privett Park.
Tomorrow morning Fratton Park will stage the Portsmouth Boys v Aldershot Boys match in the Pickford Shield.
Saturday 19: The Evening News is reporting that a plot to hijack Pompey FA Cup tickets has been foiled.
Pompey's title aspirations took a knock when they went down 3-1 to Sheffield United at Bramall Lane this afternoon. Things could have been different if the Blues hadn't played the entire second half with ten men after Flewin suffered an injury
Pompey started strongly, taking the lead after just two minutes when Froggatt fired home from close range.
The Blades hit back and levelled after 12 minutes through Hitchen. The first-half remained a very even affair although Pompey were occasionally unsettled by the hosts' no-nonsense approach to tackling.
Flewin failed to appear for the second half. Dickinson switched to centre-half, with Phillips dropping back to cover for him.
The Blades were quick to make numerical advantage count, with Hitchen notching his second goal of the match to put them ahead after 47 minutes.
Pompey fought hard to stave off defeat, but United put the match to bed with a lightening-quick counter attack in the 75th minute. Collindridge raced away and planted an unstoppable shot past Butler.
Fortunately Pompey maintained their three-point lead at the top of the First Division with their closest rivals, Newcastle and Derby, both losing.
Leicester City beat Luton Town 5-3 in their FA Cup fifth-round replay at Filbert Street this afternoon. Match Summary: Sheffield United 3, Portsmouth 1
There was a crowd of 12,000 at Fratton Park this afternoon, but they will have been disappointed to see Pompey Reserves go down 3-1 to Charlton Athletic Reserves in their Combination Cup group match. Sunday 20: It was thumbs down from the Pompey sailor in last night's Football Mail, but at least Derby and Newcastle lost too. Pompey still sit at the top of the league!
