Leicestershire cricketer Chris Balderstone netted for United late on. Stan Harland, the visitors left half, would later captain Swindon to win the League Cup and coach Pompey under Frank Burrows. Most famous character on the pitch was Jack Taylor who nine years later would referee the World Cup Final! |
