But this is a crucial game for Pompey too they are facing relegation back to Division Three after just three seasons and they have a tough run in - two game with Norwich who sit sixth and a trip to Northampton who have already been promoted! Pompey turn on the style for Jim, Lewis hits a post and then Harry Harris heads the Blues in front before Portwood doubles the lead a minute later. After the interval Harris and McClelland earn Pompey their biggest win in seven months before Jim does a lap of honour. Next day the Canaries get their revenge meaning Saints must beat Swindon on Saturday before Pompey must get a point at Northampton in the evening!!
