| Match Summary | Every schoolboy should know their teams record victory and this is Pompey's. Poor Notts caught the Blues on a day when they played well and everything went their way. There was the usual hat-trick from the Farmer boy, Billy Haines who had now scored 104 goals for Pompey and all his fellow forwards filled their boots but the best goal came from Right half Reg Davies with a 30 yard effort. These goals would prove crucial come the end of the season. (We are searching for a copy of the programme) |
