Biography Joining from Wolverhampton Wanderers in July 1948, Ron, a direct type of winger with a good left foot, found opportunities limited because of the good form of Jack Froggatt. He made two appearances during 1949/50 scoring his only goal for the club in the second away at Sunderland in a 1-1 draw. Ron later played for Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion
