Biography | An experienced and intelligent leader of the attack, eyebrows were raised when Bob Jackson made Ike his first signing but his judgment was repaid in spades. Ike excelled at centre forward with his shrewd link play and goal scoring prowess. He appeared 61 times in the two championship seasons scoring 31 times, also scoring four goals in the cup run to the semi-final in 1949. Ike declined a coachiong role at the club preferring to take the player manager role at Yeovil Town in 1953 and later managed Sittingbourne for three seasons. |
