Large Donation to Gerry Spraggs Fund
Posted on 17th Dec 2024 by David Taylor
Following our Peter Harris medal appeal, we have been receiving a number of donations to the Gerry Spraggs fund and when it reaches the target of £25,000 we will be able to secure the two medals and put them on display at the club. One of the largest donations so far comes from the Portsmouth Supporters Club (Central Branch) who have kindly donated £500. Central Branch has over 900 members across the globe and we are very grateful to them for this donation. They run bi monthly meetings at Fratton Park and organise away travel to each match. For membership details visit www.pompeyfan.com. A massive "thank you" to Roy and their committee.
One way you can help the medal fund is to donate at Pompeyhistory.org or buy someone a copy of Mick Comben's new book for Christmas, The Making of Modern Pompey and the Men Who Made It, priced at £15. It is obtainable from the Pompey Memorabilia Store at https://www.pompeyshop.co.uk/collections/general-memorabilia/products/the-making-of-modern-pompey-and-the-men-who-made-it-signed-by-author-mick-comben or at New To You Books in Cosham
High Street, Pigeon Books in Albert Road, The City Museum and Art Gallery book shop in Museum Road and of course at the two club shops in Anson Road and at Gunwharf. The club 125 history paperback is also available at these outlets and sales will also help the medal fund.
