At Stamford Bridge however it is Pompey's defence giving out the presents, seventeen year old Jimmy Greaves scores four as Chelsea hammer Pompey, who are 5-1 at the break. Pompey 'win' the second half with Peter Harris, Johnny Gordon and Mike Barnard scoring. Two future Pompey managers hit the net with Ron Tindall scoring for Chelsea and John Mortimore hitting his own net. The next day - Boxing Day - Pompey get their revenge with a 3-0 comprehensive victory! |
