Match Summary | Pompey are heading for a winding up petition on March 1 and because of points deduction relegation but to take the fans mind off impending doom the FA Cup threw up a visit to St Marys to take on the bitter rivals. Saints were struggling in League One but came out of the blocks creating but wasting several good chance partly due to the form of David James in the Pompey goal. Grant sent on Quincy Owusu-Abeyie just before the hour and he made an instant impact bending a shot round the hapless Davis. Lambert equalised but Pompey were not to be denied and on the breakaway first Aruna Dindane then Nadir Belhadj and Jamie O'Hara gave the scoreline a rather uneven look. |
