May 9-31: Pompey On Tour As Jimmy Earns His First Three England Caps

Sunday 29:  Pompey left half Jimmy Dickinson has returned from the FA's end-of-season tour with glowing reports of his performances in the 4-0 win against Finland in Helsinki, the 4-1 success against Norway in Oslo, and the 3-1 victory against France in Paris 

Pompey's Jimmy Dickinson, who has returned home having earned the first three caps of what seems certain to be a long and illustrious England career. 

Tuesday 31:  An aggregate of 41,271,424 people attended Football League matches last season - and all-time record. The largest number of people to attend League matches on a single day was on October 16th, when 1,167,446 watched the 44 matches.
